Sectionalizing buildings to preserve the integrity of important structural complexes.
Our main area of expertise is grading. We primarily use precision grade lasers on our job sites, however we also use GPS machine control grading systems when necessary. Grading contracts can include:
The equipment primarily used for grading includes: 973 track loaders, 966G wheel loaders, 210 skip loaders, and 963 track loaders.
Water Retention Systems that we install are as follows:
These underground water storage systems are a new approach to harvesting and recycling rain water to help replenish the underground aquifer. This helps to reduce wastewater output and overall water consumption, in turn creating an environmentally sound development. These systems recycle millions of gallons of water per year in the United States resulting in a greener planet.
One area of work very familiar to our company is excavation. Using the 225 USR for smaller jobs and the Zaxis 330 for the larger ones we can tackle almost any excavating task. The main bulk of our work in this field lies in the over excavation of building pads, and subterranean digs for structures.
Removal of underground structures, such as septic tanks, basements, and piers for light poles are all commonplace in this line of work. Plants, trees, and other vegetation, can be removed or even relocated upon request. Importing and exporting dirt is available when necessary for the job at hand.
Sewer pipes as well as existing underground electrical and gas pipes can be dug up and located for integration of new systems. Though we don’t typically don’t work with pipe exposure, we aim to make the transition as easy as possible for our clients.
Our company started in 1985 with three employees in the city of South El Monte. We originally started with sidewalk, approach, and driveway removal. As years passed, we began involvement with larger scale demolition projects. Eventually, in the late 1990’s, we started to venture into grading for upcoming sidewalks and driveways. As the love for demolition grew, so did our outreach. Starting with small single family house demolitions, we found ourselves a few short years later branching out to larger scale commerical and industrial demolition and grading projects while. In 2008 our company growth had necessitated a new workspace and moved to its current location in Arcadia, California.
Hartfield Construction is a family owned and operated company. John, Thomas, and Sean Hartfield are the centerfold of Hartfield Construction. Together they have over 80 years of combined Industrial, commercial and residential experience in demolition and grading.
It is our belief that our team is a direct reflection of the company. We strive to provide our customers with the most efficient and experienced personnel for the job. Kogo, the Administrative Office Manager has been working with us for 5 years. Juan has been with the company since its inception and has been President John Hartfield’s right hand man. A few new employees have been added over the past three years as company growth has exponentially increased. Jason, machine operator, Derrell, equipment transporter, and day laborers Layne and Miguel are the newest additions to the company’s work force.
Originally based out of a small office building located in South El Monte, our overwhelming success left us with a substantial amount of work and an insubstantial amount of work space. With this in mind, we decided the best course of action was to construct our own facility. The construction of our new headquarters, newly located in Arcadia, was set to be started in 2006, and completed in 2008. Finding ourselves with an ample amount of space to work with, we were finally able to keep up with the amount of inquiries we were receiving. Rounding into nearly 10 years at this facility, we have a location we can proudly call home, and we plan to be here for many years to come.
